William Pitt
William Pitt was the English secretary of state in the beginning of 1757, who began to transform the French and Indian war effort in America by bringing it fully under British control. By planning military strategies, appointing military commanders, and initiating other strategies and policies, Pitt led the British to several victories during the French and Indian War.
