Quebec Act
This act was passed by Parliament in 1774 to institute a permanent administration in Canada in order to replace the current temporary which was created at the time of the Proclamation of 1763. It was passed along with the Intolerable Acts and it established Catholicism as the state religion in Quebec which angered many Protestant Americans.
