Battle at Yorktown
George Washington, with the assistance of French expeditionary forces and leaders, planned a trap for Cornwallis at Yorktown and caught Cornwallis between land and sea. Cornwallis surrendered the British army of over 7,000 soldiers. The fighting was now over.
