Thomas Gage
Thomas Gage was a British General known for his service in the French and Indian War and the Revolutionary War. His regiment was part of General Braddock's expeditionary force which fought to drive out the French forces from the Ohio Country. He soon became a general and was placed in command in Albany. In the Revolutionary War, Gage commanded the British garrison and was given the orders to arrest the rebel leaders, Sam Adams and John Hancock. He was involved in the Battles of Lexington and Concord where he intended to seize the large supplies of gunpowder being held there.
